So I had to make a page about some of the greatest music experience anyone can just be swallowed up by. I’m just happy to be alive at the same time as these incredible performances. Performances that made me involuntarily say “Oh. My. God.”.

I Just Remembered That I didn’t Care/Slow Dancing in A Burning Room.

Probably one of the greatest performances I’ve ever had the pleasure of watching. Truly a once in a lifetime event. Story goes, John Mayer was headed to Nashville for the next stop his tour and hit up a friend to share the stage with. That friend, Chris Stapleton. John asked if he’d like to do a song of his or of Chris’. Chris said either or, or they can write one. They performed that song the next day. There hasn’t been a recording of the song so far. I hope to god that they do record the song. I’m just really thankful someone had the decency to share that night with the rest of us, and not recorded on a potato either. After that song, they performed an unbelievable performance of one of the greatest songs in John Mayer’s arsenal. Oh and not to mention the bit in between the songs that was beautifully performed by David Ryan Harris. So much to be said but I am in awe and just out of words.

If I Ain’t Got You/Gravity

Yes another one by John Mayer. This time with the great Alicia Keys. and on top of that Questlove get to carry the weight of these to giants behind the drums. This is some powerful, stank-face, sublime stuff. This performance of the two songs are so masterfully and seductively done. And once again thanks to whoever had the good civil duty to record this for those of us not fortunate enough to be there in person.
